ANNUAL SHUFFLEBOARD TOURNAMENT
Each year, the residents of Riverbend of Naples continue the tradition of enjoying the Annual Shuffleboard Tournament. Most of the park participates during this 1-2 day event, and neighbors enjoy a little friendly competition as well as lots of camaraderie. Even though we have some who are considered "experts", we also have a few "amateurs" who get lucky shots and sometimes unbelievable scores! In addition, we sometimes have guest judges with "eagle eyes" (our neighboring nesting eagles)!
After the Tournament, there is usually a luncheon, grill-out or potluck to celebrate and de-brief. Residents always look forward to this traditional event, which is usually the last big get-together before most folks head back up North.
Each year's winners have their names inscribed onto a plaque which hung in Betty's Place.
