Emergency vs. Non-Emergency
Emergencies (911) are situations that pose an immediate risk to health, life, property or environment. Examples of emergencies include but are not limited to:
Naples Police covers "downtown".
Trespassers:
Most of us have seen people trespassing on our Private Road. We now have a sign at our entrance that indicates our road is a Private Road. This should make it easier to approach any strangers in Riverbend and talk to them to see if they have a valid reason for being here. Simply ask "May I help you" to start a conversation. If needed, you can ask if they saw the sign indicating this is a Private Road. If you have reason to feel uneasy, go inside and call 911. You also have the option, depending on how you feel, to call the Non-Emergency number. They will promptly send out an officer who will ID the person and ask questions.

- typically a life and death situation
- most medical related situations
- burglaries or thefts in progress including seeing a prowler snooping around
- immediate danger to personal safety and structures
- brush and vehicle fires
- vehicle accidents, etc.
- you approach a stranger who is acting suspicious and won't leave
- Your house or car was broken into yesterday
- Your car was stolen sometime overnight or earlier in the day
- Someone stole your bike, boat, etc
